Tips & Tricks Prominas/MineSight: What's New in Pit Expansion.

MineSight has an excellent tool for designing operational pits, mine plans, stacks, among others. In today's Tips & Tricks, we'll cover the latest features built into the MineSight Pit Expansion Tool.

As of version 9.50 of MineSight 3D, in Pit Expansion it is possible to generate a reserve report in real time, export surfaces, solids of pits or advances, midlines of benches, centerlines of ramps to geometric objects and also keep saved the drawing history, and use it after restarting the tool.

Reservations

With this new option, it is possible to generate reserves reports in real time for each workbench created, and for that the user must only indicate a reserve logic file from MineSight Reserve and choose the desired option. The calculation of reserves will be carried out after each visualization or incorporated geometry, using the options of solid or middle line of the bench, thus creating a complete reserve report detailed by benches or completely customized, through Advanced Reporting and Charting (ARC).

This option allows, for example, real-time comparison between the mathematical pit used as a basis and the operational pit that is being designed, performing analyzes and comparisons, thus allowing specific adjustments for a better optimization of your design.

Historic

Now the entire history of advances and adjustments made within Pit Expansion are saved, thus enabling continuity or editing of work already carried out, after restarting the tool

Export

Another novelty added to Pit Expansion is the function to export, at any time, to a geometric object, surfaces, solids or the middle lines of the bank and central lines of ramps of the drawing carried out. This can be done simply by choosing the destination folder and selecting the desired geometries.

One of the great challenges in the design of open pit mines is to ensure the optimization of the design, with the least possible addition of overburden and the minimum loss of ore. These new features in Pit Expansion enable this real-time analysis, allowing you to make quick decisions to further optimize your design.

To the next!!!
