When creating a geological model, interpolating or using it in mine planning, you will certainly need some kind of extra calculation for coding the block model, which is an essential part of the process, such as density coding, value economics, equivalent grades, classification codes, among others.

With this it is possible to create several formulas to code in the block model in a timely manner, several limit options and possibilities of block-by-block tests before executing the formula in the entire block model, saving you time.
The novelty now is that MineSight will release a revamped version of this tool, with a range of new features and a dynamic interface, in addition to transforming it into a plug-in, optimizing procedures. You can use this tool on all types of MineSight block models.
Currently, we are faced with a scenario in which obtaining data has become easier through the advancement of technology. Due to this increase in data collection, which provides an increasing volume of information, the model will become more realistic with the addition of the studied control variables, so, consequently, the size of the block model will be larger.
To be able to handle this model with all the variables, it is also expected that technology will help us, making the tools evolve and have the best performance. Precisely to meet this demand, the Model Calculation tool will be innovated with an easy workflow and logic, which will be accessed from the Model menu in MineSight 3D, being able to build expressions with the option QuickCalc, as it is done in other tools: MSEP, MSReserves, etc; or else using the Python language.
Regarding the speed of the calculation performed by the tool, it is possible to limit regions of the block model where the coding will be carried out through surfaces, polygons and/or solids, all this with a greater integration to the MineSight 3D environment. The new Model Calculation can even use two different models to perform a single calculation or perform calculations using one model and write the result to another model. All this, in addition to the Multi-Run, makes this tool incredibly efficient!
With the new report option, you can check the results of a calculation performed on the model or simply check the results in a test block. With this option, you can view the summary report and easily find the blocks where the calculation failed.
With this tool it is not necessary to learn a robust language to try to do a simple calculation, because the facilities and advantages are numerous, such as: friendly interface, creation of simple calculations through menus of choice and uncomplicated reports.
