We are looking for a Mining Engineer with extensive experience in open pit and underground mining to fill the position of Principal Mining Engineer. This professional will report directly to the Director of Sales and Technical Services. It's an excellent opportunity to collaborate with Prominas Mining's team of experts on projects ranging from technical reviews, due diligence feasibility studies, long- and short-term mine planning, fleet management and cost analysis.
The vacancy is for direct work in the Prominas Belo Horizonte office. However, it is worth mentioning that regular trips in Brazil and eventual international trips will be part of the routine of this professional
To join our team, we are looking for someone who works as a project manager or as a technical specialist, making contact with customers and follow up, assisting the marketing team, mentoring and team leadership, preparing and reviewing reports, with the following competencies: mine sequencing, mine design and fleet management in mining.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Development of proposals to meet customer needs;
- Work as a project manager or technical specialist;
- Contact with customers, from the beginning of the project to delivery, maintaining regular monitoring;
- Prepare and review project reports, in addition to presenting the main results to clients;
- Maintain an extensive professional network in the mining sector to consolidate and expand the relationship with Prominas Mining customers.
- Assist in marketing efforts;
- Reserve reporting;
- Mine Design;
- Mine Sequencing;
- Mining fleet management;
- Selection of mining method;
- Budget plans and cost model.
ABOUT YOU
- 15+ years of mining experience in operational and consulting roles
- Graduated in Mining Engineering;
- Desirable postgraduate degree;
- Previous experience in a similar role;
- Experience in open pit and underground mining;
- Experience in mining feasibility studies;
- Competence in relevant computer systems;
- Act as CP (Competent Person) or QP (Qualified Person) in public reports;
- Experience in coaching and mentoring technical staff;
- Experience in producing project documentation, ie reports, feasibility studies, presentations, etc.;
- Have experience in fleet management for mine operation;
- Ability to provide information on complex solutions to clients of different sizes and to technically based and non-technical personnel.

Prominas Mining is currently seeking a Principal Mining Engineer with extensive experience in Open Pit and Underground mining.
Reporting to the Sales and Technical Services Director, this is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Prominas' team of experts on projects ranging from technical reviews, due diligence to feasibility studies, life of mine planning, fleet management system and cost analysis.
This Role is for professionals graduated in Mining Engineering with more than 15 years of proven experience in operational mining and Consulting assignments. Post Graduation is a differential. This role is based out of the Prominas Mining Belo Horizonte office. Regular domestic and eventual international travel is a requirement of this position.

ABOUT YOU

- Bachelor qualifications in Mining Engineering;
- Desirable postgraduate level;
- Previous experience in a similar role;
- Open pit and underground experience;
- Experience in mining feasibility studies;
- Competency in relevant computer systems;
- Provide CP (Competent Person) or QP (Qualified Person) sign-off for public statements;
- Experience in coaching and mentoring a technical team;
- Experience in producing project documentation ie reports, feasibility studies, presentations, etc;
- Operational experience with Fleet Management System;
- The ability to communicate complex solutions to a range of technical and non-technical customers and stakeholders.
